At Restore Child and Youth Care, we understand that healing and personal growth are deeply connected to culture, community, and the guidance of Elders. This was designed by our founder to support children and youth in reconnecting with their heritage while fostering emotional, spiritual, and cultural well-being.
The program is guided by Elders, pipe carriers, ceremonialists, and land-based teachers who bring traditional knowledge, ceremonies, and teachings into the daily lives of the youth. Through storytelling, cultural workshops, land-based activities, and participation in ceremonies, young people are encouraged to restore their sense of identity, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
In addition to cultural reconnection, the Restore Program focuses on personal healing and transformation. Youth work with caring staff and cultural mentors to address trauma, strengthen self-esteem, and develop life skills in a safe, supportive environment. By blending traditional knowledge with therapeutic support, the program helps young people not only restore what has been lost but also cultivate hope, purpose, and a positive vision for the future.
